Follicles and Skin Substructures
The molecular and structural organization of various skin components, including hair follicles and fibers,
sebaceous glands, and comedones, can be visualized and examined using advanced imaging techniques. The
deposition and impact of products on these specific compartments can be assessed via analysis of sebum,
triglycerides, squalene, and fatty acids.
Human hair follicle biopsy. Transversal or longitudinal sections can be cut with a varying thickness via cryostat. This can be done without embedding media. These sections can be used for future analyses.
