Trefor Evans was a presenter for “Anti- Pollution in Skin and Hair: The Science” for the Cosmetics & Toiletries Webinar. A FREE 2-part webinar series from Cosmetics & Toiletries and Global Cosmetic Industry
Anti-pollution cosmetics and personal care products are gaining traction in the marketplace, but what exactly do they do? How do they work? How can you prove it? This free webinar is the first in a two-part series exploring these and other questions about the science and market of anti-pollution cosmetics. By understanding the mechanisms through which pollution impacts skin and hair, your R&D team can develop products that not only target novel pathways, but differentiate your brand in a crowded market.
In part I of this webinar series, Prof. Jean Krutmann, M.D., world-renowned molecular aging expert from the Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine, in Düsseldorf, will examine the scientific evidence for what effects pollution has on the skin. In addition, he will review topical approaches to counteract these mechanisms.
Following Krutmann, the highly esteemed Trefor A. Evans, Ph.D., Director of Research and Institute Fellow at TRI Princeton, will consider the controversial topic of how hair may (or may not) be impacted by particulate matter and other forms of pollution. He, too, will discuss treatments to potentially protect against or reverse the impact of pollutants on hair. Following both presentations, the floor will be opened for discussion.
